Festival of Flight 2009

Club Penguin introduced a new party called the Festival of Flight in August 2009. Part of this party takes place on the Tallest Mountain, but only members can access it. When interviewing Gary in the newspaper, he pointed out that the solution to fix the windows in the Cave is to lift Club Penguin out of the water. The Festival of Flight 2009 was held between August 14–18, 2009. The party was extended until the 20th, just in time for the Underwater Adventure.

History

This Party all started when Gary the Gadget Guy had pointed out that the Cave windows were worn out and were leaking. He had said that having a Water Party would be too dangerous, So Gary started making plans for Club Penguin to be lifted in the air. Later on, in the Newspaper, Gary posted his solution to fixing the Windows - lifting Club Penguin into the air via giant balloon - then when they had been replaced, he would gently lower Club Penguin down into the water. The party started on August 14, 2009.

• The Festival of Flight was expected to be the Water Party 2009.
• Gary mentioned that before the party he will need some volunteers to help in the Underground Pool, this meant that there was  a construction at the pool.
• In one of the activities in 101 Days of Fun, it is mentioned that they want some users to send Club Penguin a picture of a toy penguin preparing for this party for Penguins Around The World.
• The login screen showed that the Lighthouse had a propeller on the top.
• Gary waddled around during the party.
• If Card-Jitsu Water releases, there would be a mini-party called Water Party, but the name is like the ones happened in 2007 and 2008. Another Festival of Flight may be released, however this might be unlikely.
• The Festival of Flight may return in 2010 as Billybob said it would be the "first" Festival of Flight.
  • In Herbert's Revenge, at the beginning of Mission 9, Rookie mentions that there is a hot air balloon in the sky (it belonged to Herbert) and asks if it is already time for the Festival of Flight, hinting it may be annual; however, this is unconfirmed.
• In the pool, when you click on the lights, they go off then come back on, this happened to the Dig Out the Dojo, but when you clicked on them a ninja poster appeared, in the pool nothing happens.
• On the balloon ride, many penguins pretended to vomit.
• At the Dock, Beach and Cove, the water is gone and blocades are put to keep penguins from falling off.
  • At the Dock, where the Hydro Hopper tubes usually are, there was a special tube leading to the ground.
