The Frozen Party is a party on Club Penguin. It started on August 20, 2014 and ended on September 3, 2014. It was based off the Walt Disney Animation Studios movie, Frozen, which was released in 2013.

History

Development

Polo Field first tweeted that a hint to August's party would appear in the music video for Best Day Ever. Eventually when the video was released, a Puffle that resembled Olaf (a character from Frozen) appeared, hinting a possible connection to the movie Frozen.

On July 27th, many files were found on the Club Penguin app servers and leaked.

On July 30th, Club Penguin added an advertisement for the Frozen Party to the homepage, officially confirming its existence and name. The advertisement revealed that the party will be fully available on the Club Penguin app and will allow members to purchase an Ice Palace igloo. On the same day, Megg confirmed the party on the blog, with a "confirmation stamp" as well as showing artwork of Olaf. On August 5th, Polo Field posted a sneak peek on the blog, saying that members will be able to freeze all the party rooms by throwing special snowballs and everyone can unfreeze the rooms by using the Heart emote. He also posted two photos comparing the freezing rooms with the normal rooms. On August 6th, Polo Field showed the Plaza, the party running in the Club Penguin App and the Olaf transformation. On the same day, new advertisement was added on the homepage and on the login screen, revealing that members can create Snowman Puffles.

On August 8th, the official trailer was launched, showing some features of the party. On August 11th, a video was launched showing a Snowman Puffle singing the song "In Summer" with the voice of Josh Gad. On August 13th, Polo Field said more details about the Snowman Puffles.
