The Merry Walrus Party will be a party on Club Penguin. It will start on December 18, 2014 and will end on December 31, 2014. The Merry Walrus Party will be the tenth annual Christmas-related party and the last party of 2014. Like preceding Christmas-related parties, Coins for Change will make a return. This party was created to celebrate Merry Walrus, the "Santa Claus" of Club Penguin. Members will be able to adopt a Blue Crystal Puffle. There will be a TV show about the party called "We Wish You a Merry Walrus".

Development

The party was first confirmed on November 24, 2014 in the Factory website[1]. It was also revealed details about the party and the Coins for Change 2014. On December 1, Polo Field posted on the What's New Blog three sneak peeks for December and said that everyone will get an exclusive first-edition hat[2].

On December 10, Megg revealed details about Coins for Change 2014, saying that there will be 4 projects to unlock (Schools, Libraries, Playgrounds, Animal Homes) and all the coins the players spent from the December 2014 Penguin Style catalog will go to Coins For Change from December 18-29[3]. She also posted a sneak peek of the donation meter. One day later, on December 11, Club Penguin Russian's Twitter account posted a draft of the Forest[4]. On the same day, advertisements on the homepage, the login and exit screens were added.

On December 4, two weeks before the party starts, the Merry Walrus Parade started. On December 11, in the issue #477 of the Club Penguin Times, Aunt Arctic said that she learned about Merry Walrus after she found a storybook.

Coins for Change

2014 is Coins For Change's eighth year. It was confirmed in issue #475 of Club Penguin Times. It's the second time that Club Penguin will support projects which will be unlocked as players donated coins. This year, there will be 4 projects (schools, libraries, playgrounds, and animal homes). For the first time ever, coins spent in the December 2014 Penguin Style will be donated to the cause.
