— Cadence
|
Cadence, also known as DJ K-Dance or DJ Cadence (pronounced dee jay kay-dense*), is a local Club Penguin DJ and a great dancer. She is a peach-colored penguin who has purple hair with pink tufts, green headphones, a pink and yellow scarf, a pair of pink and yellow wristbands, black eyelashes, along with black and white shoes. She seems to be very polite. She's a more modern penguin proved by her saying "lol" and "EPIC FAIL". She does not have any body items, however. She first appeared in the Club Penguin Times when there was a tour about the Night Club. Her favorite phrase is, "It's time to dance!". She likes to call herself the "Dance Machine". Like Rockhopper, the Penguin Band, Gary, and Aunt Arctic, she waddles around Club Penguin Island giving out a free background. Cadence is part of the team that made the Dance-A-Thon party. She made a game called Dance Contest. Cadence is one of the only famous female penguins on Club Penguin other than Aunt Arctic. She seems to like sugar, since she continuously hollers "SUGAR RUSH!" when she's completely hyper. She has also made a single, named The Party Starts Now.
She shows up in the Dance Contest game. When she asks what difficulty you want, you can click on her to get to Expert Mode, which is very hard. You'd have to be pretty good at Dance Contest to do well on the expert level.
Cadence has a Purple Puffle named Lolz, first seen at the Puffle Party 2011.
Plush Toy
Club Penguin released a series 5 Plush Toy for Cadence. She is the fifth famous penguin that has a matching plush.

Trivia
- Cadence's favorite move is the breakdance.
- The word "cadence" is a term in music describing a progression of chords; fittingly, she is a DJ.
- Cadence said that nothing in the Penguin Style fits her, explaining her entirely unique clothes.
- Cadence also says that she made the clothes she wears.
- Cadence's actual first appearance was in the in-focus section in issue #152 of the newspaper as the guide. The section was about the Night Club.
- She is friends with Franky. They love to collaborate on new DJ3K tracks[citation needed]. Through various comics and instances where one of them has mentioned the other, it can be concluded that they are very good friends. Apparently Franky is also one of Cadence's inspirations.
- Sometimes Cadence actually speaks to certain players. (e.g. "Do this too, Metalmanager!" or "Shout out to Lava!")
- During July 2012, the "Ask Aunt Arctic" section in the newspaper was renamed "Ask Cadence", due to the then upcoming Make Your Mark: Ultimate Jam.
- During February 2013, the "Ask Aunt Arctic" section in the newspaper was renamed "Ask Cadence", due to the then upcoming Hollywood Party.
