- Allegiance: The Republic; Rebel Alliance
- Background: C-3PO is a protocol droid, originally built by Anakin Skywalker when he was a child. For 10 years, C-3PO remained on Tatooine after his "maker" left for the Jedi Order. However, after Anakin's mother Shmi died, C-3PO left Tatooine with Anakin and Padme Amidala.
He was loyal to his master and the republic for many years, until the republic was transformed into the empire and his master was transformed into Darth Vader. At that time, his memory was wiped and he was given to senator Bail Organa along with R2-D2.
