The Laptop is a hand item in Club Penguin. Members are able to purchase this item for 100 coins in the Penguin Style catalog. The laptop includes a mouse, and the design is similar to the ones on MacBooks, with a puffle replacing the apple. When sitting, it looks like it is being used. However, when you carry it or sit down with the Laptop, the mouse is not shown. Players can also unlock it by redeeming the code STAYSAFE.

There is a Computer Desk furniture item which is very similar to the laptop, which could be found in the Better Igloos catalog. Similar items are the Golden Laptop and Lime Laptop.

History

The Laptop was released in the September 2009 Penguin Style catalog. Its price tag of 1800 coins made it the most expensive clothing item in Club Penguin until the release of the 3000-coin Doom Drone in 2012. It returned on June 30, 2015 in the July 2015 Penguin Style with a low price of 100 coins.

Trivia

• The design is similar to a MacBook, with a puffle clearly being the logo instead of an apple. This may be because of Disney's close relationship with Apple (through Pixar's ex-chief executive Steve Jobs), and this may be a reference to it.
