For the First Time In Forever... They Made a Takeover Great! By Brookelas

Well, here we are. The party I have been wanting since Frozen first came out last November. Was 9 months worth the wait? Is this party worthy of a fantastic movie? I am going to try and be unbiased here.

  • Decorations - 5/5 - Okay, they captured the movie PERFECT. The decorations are flawless. And on top of that, they had to make each room TWICE. That is amazing! It's like we get to decorate the rooms ourselves!
  • Storyline - 5/5 - Bringing Elsa, Anna and Olaf to a Summer Party... classic way to ruin make a GREAT twist on a summer party.
  • Party Rooms - 5/5 - ELSA'S PALACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111111 <3
  • Transformations and Party Games - 4/5 - You can transform into Olaf and Marshmallow, and their animations and such are AWESOME! But giving it a 4 cuz no Sven :(
  • Music - 5/5 - I love the Frozen soundtrack... I love the Frozen Party soundtrack! ALSO NO ANNOYING SOUND EFFECTS! Bonus point!
  • Free Items and Catalogs - 5/5 - I think putting the actual costumes in the Penguin Style was a GREAT move on CP's behalf. Anyways, the items are creative and original, unlike some takeovers (LOOKING AT YOU STAR WARS). On top of that, Olaf Puffles :)
  • Quest - 5/5 - This is their best quest in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time. Reminds me of the olden days :)
  • Other (More Minor) Details - 5/5 - Reused emotes, but they are all animated nicely and fresh. I love the freezing/melting feature, and Elsa performing.
  • Party Hype - 5/5 - Not overhyped at all, and it was a great party!
  • Non Member Fairness - 4/5 - NEW CATEGORY! I think Non Members were a little spoiled here with a new igloo. The only thing is they should have at least have had the power to freeze or transform into SOMETHING. Other than that, they are decent.

Um... 48/50...! Yes, I gave it a 5, but is that a shocker at all?

Ok Party By Enricc1

The Party for me is okay they could have worked on more interactions for the party and some hands items so TINY the ice furniture looks cool, and the Freze-Un Freeze room is good and the ice palace should be show all the igloo at game.Overall the party gets bored fast so OK party.

But... Club Penguin is already Frozen! By Sharkbate

This is the party I was the most worried about. Noo... CP would never do this... they would NEVER go this low... Looks like I was wrong. Was the party as bad as I thought? No. But was it anywhere near fantastic? Absolutely not.

Decorations: 4/10

The decorations are okay... but they just aren't Club Penguin. This isn't Club Penguin Island anymore. The rooms look too different for my liking. Also, what's with the Ski Village being left out lately? Underground rooms also need some love! Come on, Club Penguin!

Member/Non-Member Fairness: 4/10

So, members get to do what many would call the "fun part" and freeze rooms, while non-members get to use an already available emote to unfreeze them? Two available transformations and neither are for non-members. Non-members don't even get to build a snowman puffle, either. What do non-members get? An ice palace igloo and 14 or so items. Not totally terrible, but still pretty unfair... seeing as members are able to do the "fun stuff" of the party.

Music: 3/10

The music is completely unoriginal, seeing as it's basically a take from the Frozen movie. On top of that, the music gets really annoying after a while. After one loop it's time to mute the music. The melody and tune are okay... I guess.

Originality: 3/10

Why? Why did this party happen? Why are Frozen characters on Club Penguin? Is there ANY story at all to why this is happening? The snowflake scavenger hunt is pretty original, but that's about it. Things like the ice palace (closed until 5 days after the party starts... really?) were taken from the movie, so points deducted there. The party idea itself is pretty unoriginal either. It would have been better if Club Penguin gave some sort of plot or storyline to this otherwise random event.

Party Rooms: 10/10

The Ice Palace is locked until 5 days after the party, but thanks to Club Penguin's terrible security, I was able to check out the room already. The room looks great. There's no other way to put it. It's very well done and obviously fits the party well.

Games: N/A

No exclusive mini-games were present at this party.

Transformations: 9/10

Yes, more transformations. This time, into that Marshmallow creature from the movie, and into Olaf the snowman. My issue is with the Olaf transformation. You are already able to make little Olaf puffles, so why is there an option to transform into him? Other than that, the transformations are pretty spot on for this party (even though I'm generally against transformations).

Items: 8/10

There are some really, really random items here... like Reindeer Carrots? Funny, because the reindeer from Frozen doesn't appear anywhere at this party. So that item is pretty much irrelevant. Some of the items are okay, but there are too many. It was better when CP released one or two items a party. That way, you don't have to make filler items (random items) that make no sense.

Mascots: 6/10

Elsa performs at the Ice Palace (when it's open). She fits the theme, seeing as she's from the movie this party is based on... but no story as to why she's here. How did this ice queen end up on Club Penguin? WHY is she on Club Penguin? Will we get an answer? Probably not.

Comparing to Past Editions: N/A

There were no previous editions of the Frozen Party.

Staff Hype/Sneak Peeks: 3/10

Spike Hike confirmed this party... three or four months before it started. No! Stop! Stop spoiling everything! The staff didn't give many sneak peeks because... well... fan bloggers did it for them. Yes... the fan bloggers found the files to this party weeks before it started. Why? Club Penguin isn't very good at hiding things, apparently. This is probably the mose exploited party I've seen. Some people were already transforming into Marshmallow and Olaf before the party began. Club Penguin, get it together!

Misc: 7/10

The scavenger hunt is pretty neat. Same with the ability to freeze rooms (though I feel like this was recycled from the Holiday Party 2012). Emotes are alright for this party as well. Also... snowman puffles? Get outta here with that nonsense!

Sub-Score: 5.7/10

Final Score: 5/10 (2.5 Stars)

Pretty "Cool" By Green Ninja

Club Penguin redeemed themselves from the terrible Music Jam. That is all.

Horrible. By Captain Pinkbead

This is the worst Takeover they've ever had. It doesn't even try to be original. The Star Wars takeover, the Marvel party, they all tried to fit in. We had Darth Herbert and Protobot! There was a connection! But now, it's just.. Elsa and Anna came to the island! Olaf too! Um.. what if I haven't seen the movie? What the heck is an Olaf? Who is Elsa? Who is Anna? Is Club Penguin part of the Frozen world? Does that mean that Club Penguin exists in the Medieval times? It makes no sense!

And don't give me that "it's just a game!" nonsense. The CPT (Club Penguin Team) has always been trying to make all the events seem logical. Like at the 2007 Halloween party. It wasn't just "Boom! Night time!". They tried to make it look like a solar eclipse and it worked just fine!

It's just that Club Penguin doesn't feel original anymore. Club Penguin is already "frozen"! The movie was released last year! Seriously!

As for the items.. I don't care. Items don't make a good party. The older parties didn't need a billion frozen-themed items to be awesome.

Not to mention that the Olaf puffle is just ridiculous. How many more puffles and puffle features do we really need? Just stop already! CP is about chatting, not taking care of puffles! They shouldn't be the focus of the game!

Finally, Frozen is not even THAT good. It's so overrated. It's just a typical Disney movie! Are we going to have Lion King and Tangled takeovers next? Or worse.. a Pewdiepie party? Argh!

All the CPT wants is the $$$$. I'm sorry, but it's true. No effort, not enough rooms decorated. Just put a "FROZEN" banner everywhere and every silly kid will buy a membership! Well, I'm not buying one, until they start making actual parties and not advertisments!

Best 2014 party By Ninholas

People, I dont understand those takeover haters... Really... The party is funny, follow the old style parties, hás got a billion free cool itens for everybody ... Iglu... Furniture pack... A new puffle... Cool transformations... I just havê to say that the quest is pretty to easy... But seriously? The party is awesome. There is no non member unfairness... For you this will be fairless when Club Penguin turn free to everyone but its not possible...Just a dream... For now because cp havê got hundreds of workers... And really? That guy is speaking about sven? Man, go to the Penguin style... There is a reeinder costume...

Meh. By NodogClubpenguinfunny438

Okay, this is my first party review I've done. Today I'm going to review the Frozen Takeover *ahem* I mean Frozen Party. Let's take a look at the pros and cons: Pros:

  • Ability to transform into Marshmallow and Olaf is nice
  • A lot of items to collect
  • No "wait a day then click this to just get an item"
  • Snow puffles
  • The rooms look nice

Cons:

  • Some of the island isn't decorated
  • Again, the rooms look nice, but I can't even tell what they're supposed to be
  • Non-members only pretty much get hand items
  • WHY and HOW did the cast of Frozen go to Club Penguin?

This party isn't good but not bad.

Finally a Good 2014 Party! By Chucker321

Just as the title says, finally a good 2014 party! For once, we don't have to wait to get the items, and they're not all that bad. The thing I don't like is, why is the party so long? The only thing we have to wait for is Elsa's performance. I just wish the parties were 5-6 days instead of 2 week, to be honest. Also, it doesn't take that long to collect the snowflakes. Speaking of snowflakes, I like how we have to collect 3 snowflakes from each of the decorated party rooms in order to get the items. It doesn't take that long to get them, though, maybe, a minute at the most. Speaking of decorated party rooms, there are actually rooms decorated! Unlike that big let-down "Music Jam" last month. The rooms are decorated very well, if I might add! The only thing I don't get is why they did this party so late, a year after Frozen came out, and in August. I'd be okay if it was in like November... of 2013, or possibly January... of this year. I go on this other forum, and, someone said they asked the CP Team something like, "Why Frozen? It's so late." And he said they replied something like, "Sorry, we're running out of ideas." ... No joke, no lie, no pun intended. I'm just glad this party is better than last month's. Although, I'm not going to give it a full 4 stars. 3.5 is what I think it deserves.

SHTAP THE TAKEOVERS By Mario Rk

The Frozen Party. Before the party was released, you either love it or you just don't. I didn't like the idea from the start. The party itself is decent, decorations are pretty good, transformations and stuff like that. What you're about to read is my large review about this party. Enjoy!

Starting off, what really bothers me about this party, is how good it is. WHY should FROZEN of all parties be GOOD while other parties such as the Fair and Music Jam had to suffer from such poor quality. That shouldn't be allowed at all since its a TAKEOVER and not one of Club Penguin's classic events. Why is Club Penguin saving all the good ideas for TAKEOVERS? They basically sacrificed July so they could make Frozen a thing. July had no mini-parties and the Music Jam... Let's not even go there. Basically, Club Penguin shouldn't have put so much investment in this one party to just... THROW AWAY July and possibly June. If they sacrificed June too, that would explain the regular decorations instead of the massive room overhauls for the Penguin Cup.

Moving on, something that bothers me is Olaf during this party. In the movie I enjoyed him and... yeah that's pretty much it... In the Frozen Party, the Club Penguin Team decided they liked Olaf SO much, they made him EVERYTHING! An actual character, a costume, a puffle, even a transformation! I get Olaf was funny in the movie and all, but this is a little too much for the little guy.

The Snowflake Quest, in my opinion wasn't really that interesting. All the snowflakes were pretty easy to spot and find. It was also the return of scavenger hunts since... 2012? There are like 3 snowflakes in each decorated room and they are really easy to spot. Once you collect them all you can get ready for a TON of rewards. Overall, this Scavenger Hunt is short and can be completed in less than 5 minutes.

Finally, I'm gonna talk about the free items and transformations. The only way to get free items at this party (excluding Elsa's Giveaway and the Ice Palace igloo) is to collect all the snowflakes hidden around during the party. Some of these items are just weird (like the Blizzard, Ice Party Hat and Reindeer Floaty) and only a few are worth wearing cuz they just look so cool, literally! (the Solid Ice). In my opinion, we got more weird prizes than cool ones but... We got what we got so there's that. Also after collecting all the snowflakes, you can adopt Snowman Puffles (named mine Carrot, I know I'm so original), transform into either Olaf or Marshmallow and freeze any rooms decorated for the party. I didn't really care that much about the Snowman Puffles or the transformations, I just wanted to relive freezing everything as a Frost Bite back in 2012. Speaking of Frost Bites, I felt like this party would have been the perfect opportunity to bring back these creatures as transformations. It's just a lost opportunity.

Overall, this party was just decent. I would have felt a lot better if it weren't related to Frozen at all. Club Penguin needs to stop saving their better ideas for the Takeovers and make their original parties fun again. I probably won't update this review unless Elsa's performance is just that major to me. Again, this wasn't anything too special, and still, could have been a LOT better.

ಠ_ಠ By Snowstormer

Meh. That's all I can say.

Why is there a takeover for a movie that's been out for almost a year soon? Why is there a takeover for a movie which had songs in it that everyone hates by now? Why? Why? WHY? Most rooms are not even decorated and half of the decorations don't make sense. I don't get the Dock <-> Beach. How does it even work? There's literally water next to the door that goes from the Dock. That's in no way possible.

Also, like, for me (a non-member) all I can do it look at the rooms and get like 14 items? ಠ_ಠ

All in all, a pretty crappy party. 1.5 stars.

The Best Party of 2014, But Still Not Good. By Enb 11

Before I make my review i'd like to let clear that, as my first review, this is my opinion and I will not be counting any notes based on aspects of the party, and review it as a whole.

This party was okay/kinda bad, even though I like the idea of a Frozen party. What lacks for the party to be good is Club Penguin's effort in it. Since the beggining of 2014, all parties have been under the reasonable rating for me, and that is because of their lack of content and effort from the team. The decorations are really neat and for the first time since the Puffle Party over the most part of the island, but once again, they forgot to decorate. the Ski Village, inner rooms, and underground rooms. I think the CP Team thinks that no one really cares about these rooms (kinda true, actually) and don't decorate them at all, but room decoration is one of the biggest points of a party, and the old ones could get some attention, if the decorations are nice and provide roleplay content. Also, this is other great point a party should have, roleplay. Rooms that provide roleplay, like the Pizza Parlor are especially more visited as you can pretend to be a waiter, a client, a robber, etc. This party has some of this, as players can pretend to be Oaken in the Forest, trolls in the Beach, and Summer Crazy Olafs at the Cove. The music is cool, and is something CP never gets wrong, all parties have musics that are memorable, even the last month's stinking Music Jam (don't worry, I am talking about Best Day Ever). As for rooms, the last thing I have to say is about the Freezing/Thawing feature. This always worked for me, in the Marvel parties and Holiday Party 2013. It provokes "wars" between players which sometimes is fun to take part in, where someone tries to freeze the room while another person unfreezes it.

The second thing, and probably the one where this party sins more, is content. You go, get the igloo, get the snowflakes (which are really easy to find), get the items, messes around a little bit with the transformations, and then BAM, there's nothing more to do. Sometime later you come back to get Elsa's items but then BAM, nothing again. And we all know that ALL parties of 2014 have sinned in this aspect. Seriously, what takes to the Team to make parties like Operation Blackout (it was the most logged on party of CP) more often? Parties that have content to keep you coming back for more, even if there isn't anything to do? The parties that we got this year only CONVINCED you to come back to get some items and then one second after you got the item you close the tab as there is nothing else to really do. Let's just hope that the next parties have some more content, or else CP is going to have serious problem with publics.

The third and last thing to talk about is transformations and items. The items are simple and remind of parts of the movie. Items like Kristoff's Lute (which has a animation, kudos to the Team for not forgetting that) can lead players to reenact "Reindeers are better than people" and so on, each item recreates a small part of the movie. And there are original items as the Ice Hoodie, and Ice Party hat which are wearable after the party. By wearable after the party, I mean that items released in a takeover are not really matchable after the party is over leaving players to ditch them behind. As an example, go out on a full server and see how many players using takeover items there are(excluding Frozen ones as it's still happening by the time I am writing this review). You may find some, but very few. And I personally haven't seen people using the Monsters University party costumes since then. It was really curious how CP gave the characters clothes at Penguin Style, not at the party, since it could be used for more content. Counting as an item is also the Snowman Puffle. When adopting him there should be an option: "Do you want to name your puffle Olaf? () Yes () No". Seriously, for all my puffles I've tried to come up with an creative name but for this one, I just threw in Olaf. Because he is so similar with Olaf. Actually, he should be called Olaf Puffle. This points at something I will talk about in the end of this review. But first, let's talk about the transformations. I didn't actually like Olaf transformation. It is... weird. His smile is freaky. But, a cool transformation for the fans of the character, AKA everyone that liked Frozen. But Marshmallow transformation... Oh man, that is indeed cool. I love huge things, my fav transformation at the Prehistoric Party is the T-Rex, and Marshmallow is not different. He is big, his movements flow well when he walks, therefore not giving the sensation of sliding with him, and his snowballs are big showing that the Team payed attention to some smaller details (snowballs that also have sound effects now!) This is all I have to say about this aspect of the party.

As an afterthought, I'd like to say that, Takeovers don't need to be original. The more it resembles the theme it is representing the better. That may disappoint non-fans of the movie, but that is EXACTLY the purpose of a takeover. To get people to watch the movie being "advertised" as an infamous female blogger would say. As an example, the Star Wars Takeover, was SO EQUAL to A New Hope, that you actually had to watch it to understand the rooms, the costumes, and missions. Fans were not disappointed, by seeing their favorite worlds being created on their favorite game, me myself being one. If a takeover distances too much of it's theme it is of no avail, since players will not feel like they need to watch said movie. This is where I will end my review, I hope it's not too long, I will try to do for all the parties starting with this month's, this is Enb, and I'm saying peace.

  • UPDATE: As of August 28, Elsa's palace opened. I must say the performance is kinda boring, as she only repeats her movements over and over. As for her furniture pack, I think the items are too big. I also don't think we need that many, I barely could put 2 tables in an igloo. Update ends here.

Well at least its not the Cruise Ship Takeover By Towerofyikk

After last months Cruise Ship Takeover I had low expectations for this party. Takeovers were just becoming annoying, the island is already frozen for petes sake and I personally find Frozen kind of overrated (I have nothing against it though)

But it isnt too bad. Could be better but its an improvement.

Pros: For a Takeover its not too shabby. Heck they even decorated more than two rooms. Some of the items are kinda cool (no pun intended?) and the designs of some of the rooms are nice too. They even gave non-members some love (for the most part) with not only an igloo but furniture too. Not bad. The new puffle creature isnt even annoying like the ones from the Puffle Party earlier this year. I wish we could mute puffle digging sounds though.

Cons: The "melt with hearts" thing is kind of cliché and only members can freeze rooms so it becomes a non-member vs member fight to either freeze or thaw the room. In fact I thought the rooms were supposed to gradually freeze over the course of the party? Not the first time the CP team lied about a party though. In contrast to some good items there are some dumb ones too. No surprise there. I would rat on how only half of the above-ground rooms were decorated but Im just thankful more than two rooms are decorated at least. Lastly the snowman puffle is really not unique at all. It digs up the same prehistoric stuff as dinosaur puffles. Neat I guess? I thought it would dig up snow themed items but we have to much snow stuff so it digs up what other special puffles already do. Which dont even have to do with snow or anything cold. The Olaf thing or whatever looks just plain... bizarre. He has a psychopath smile and you can see his mouth if his back is facing toward the screen. What the heck? After reading some other reviews I remembered something I forgot to cover: the "story" if you will. Its about as illogical as any other guest at every other takeover. They just kind of... are there. No reason. Why? At least try and make a reason.

All in all this party is not really good but it isnt really bad either. Its just... okay. But can you guys do better next party? Then again there is supposedly going to be a "back to school" party next month... oh joy. Dont have high hopes for that either.

Best Takeover! (Since Marvel Super Hero Takeover 2013) By Mandog76

You have to agree, it is the best takeover since the second Marvel Takeover in 2013. Let's go over some categories, shall we?

Advertising (4.5)

So. Club Penguin's advertising for the Frozen Party. Well, they didn't really do much advertising since Club Penguin bloggers found files and swfs featuring Frozen Party related things. About three weeks before the party, Club Penguin put the advertisements on the front page, for people who did not already know. Even with that, if you still didn't know, they started advertising the "Summer Party" two weeks before and the "Frozen Party" a week before in The Club Penguin Times, despite the Penguin Style already having Frozen clothing and a picture of Elsa next to the Upcoming Events section. I have to give Advertising a 4.5 out of 5 stars, only because that people had found the files beforehand.

Scavenger Hunt (5)

This party's scavenger hunt was pretty good, in my opinion. Not all of the snowflakes were obvious, but they weren't to hard. Instead of having to wait every two days to do another part of the hunt, you were able to finish every room and collect all the items on the first day. Because of it not being to easy, but not hard, and for not having to wait, I give the Scavenger Hunt a 5 out of 5.

Decorations (4)

With the decorations, they really pulled off the Frozen theme. I love how most rooms are interactive with the freezing ability. But the rooms in the North area was kind of forgotten. So I have to give Decorations a 4 out of 5 because they forgot many rooms.

Free Items (4.5)

Many free items for non-members, most of which can be collected on the first day. For non-members there are 8 clothing items and 1 igloo, all of which can be collected first day. Once the Ice Palace opened, they got 17 furniture items. Members got 8 more items than non-members with the only great item being the Snowman Puffle. So free items wise, this is the most balanced takeover in my opinion between members and non-members. So I give free items a 4.5 out of 5 for members getting a puffle.

Abilities (3)

One thing that is taking points off is that only members can use abilities. It would be great if they let non-members freeze rooms or at least transform into Sven! Because of this, I'm giving abilities a 3 out of 5.

Elsa's Performance (3.5)

I would've liked it better if they had Elsa singing some lyrics. I think they could have also let Olaf sing In Summer, just so that it isn't ONLY Let It Go. It would also be cool if her dance moves were more synced up with the music rather than the same move every 3 seconds. So I give this a 3.5.

Mascots (1)

In my opinion, it would be cool if they had at least one mascot. Maybe Anna. For no mascot I give 1 out of 5.

Results

The final score for this party, taking the ratings of every category, is 3.6 out of 5. So let's just make it 3.5!

Maybe the best party of the year... but still pretty flawed By Chill57181

Personally, I think Frozen could be the best party this year so far, but it still has quite a few problems.

I must say CP did a great job on the decorations, and it's fun that you can freeze and thaw them. Most of the items are pretty "cool" (Solid Ice? Heck yeah!) The music however is pretty bad... the main song isn't that fantastic, and the others are just instrumentals of Frozen songs.

The "scavenger hunt" is terrible and all the snowflakes are in plain sight. There's no fun to it at all.

The transformations are kind of cool, but I think it would've been a lot cooler if they brought back Frost Bite. The puffle is awesome, but it did the one thing I never wanted CP to do: takeover puffles. Oh well, at least it's a good coin farmer. :D (glitched to always dig up 200 or something)

Finally, Elsa's performance, which was very hyped for the whole party, is... really lame. Not a surprise that the finale is terrible again. She just dances around while an instrumental of Let It Go plays, not very special.

The problem with this party is that it just feels empty and gets boring after a while. It doesn't have the daily calendar so it doesn't "force" you to come back on, but you just don't want to come back on.

A "Frozen" Party By Perapin

I haven't watched the movie Frozen, and from a lot of anticipation for the Frozen "Takeover", the Frozen Party that was set up did not meet a favorable response. It was reassuring that people wanted a Frozen Takeover, but I highly disapprove of takeovers as they take away Club Penguin's respectable originality, of which is important to making unique and interesting content. With the Frozen Party, there was no real originality.

Originality

  • Characters were unoriginal and lacked depth (taken directly from Frozen and did not have a significant contribution to the party).
  • The setting was unoriginal and lacked depth (CP does not simply turn into Arendelle).
  • The plot was unoriginal and lacked depth (hardly any build-up to events - everything just popped up with no "backstory").

Note that, originality is the crux of what makes a party fun. As this party lacked it, that made the fun unappealingly "motionless".

Decorations

I give credit where credit is due, and I say that the Frozen Party has some spectacular decorations for the "Frozen" side of the rooms. But the normal side of the rooms does not look much like Club Penguin at all. The rooms however, did feel static (e.g. the water was not flowing at the Beach), and its contexts were not related to anything which would create interest to the roleplay in the room, as it was directly aimed at a Frozen fan-base. Also, some rooms were discarded from decoration (although there would be minimal potential for them as this party is essentially a takeover), and the exterior of some rooms (e.g. the Pizza Parlor), did not translate with the interior. Why decorate the exterior but not the interior?

Replay Value

Enb 11's review covers this point discerningly. So I'll just quote what he argued: "...where this party sins more, is content. The parties that we got this year only CONVINCED you to come back to get some items and then one second after you got the item you close the tab as there is nothing else to really do..." I second this. One thing in particular that adds to the replay value, is storyline and originality, which this party undesirably lacked. You can't really enjoy a party which you know the storyline of. Club Penguin's target audience (us) would like a bit of mystery. When they get to figure out things, connect the dots from hints, where we'd be left guessing, was what made Operation: Blackout an interesting party.

Towerofyikk's argument

Towerofyikk makes some original points, as follows, "The 'melt with hearts' thing is kind of [a] cliché and only members can freeze rooms so it becomes a non-member vs member fight to either freeze or thaw the room. In fact I thought the rooms were supposed to gradually freeze over the course of the party? ... Lastly the snowman puffle is really not unique at all. It digs up the same prehistoric stuff as dinosaur puffles. Neat I guess? I thought it would dig up snow themed items but we have to much snow stuff so it digs up what other special puffles already do. Which don't even have to do with snow or anything cold. The Olaf [puffle] ... has a psychopath smile and you can see his mouth if his back is facing toward the screen. What the heck?"

I strongly agree with Towerofyikk's points. It is random that members and non-members get this "siding" for this party. Like I said in the title of my review, the party is quite "frozen". In that, I mean motionless, static, and choppy. When you warm/freeze a room, it happens instantly. There is no nice effect in a gradual effort. Also, the transformations are quite meaningless. You can't personalize any of the transformations, can you? So what's the point of them? The fact that they're based solely of Frozen makes them distanced from long term interest, and possibly even of short term interest. The transformations are made to engage, and I don't see how we can get much engagement with little actions that can be done with the transformations.

Elsa's performance

I second what Chill57181 had critiqued about Elsa's performance: "Finally, Elsa's performance, which was very hyped for the whole party, is... really lame. Not a surprise that the finale is terrible again. She just dances around while an instrumental of Let It Go plays, not very special." Not to mention, that her character sprite does a robotic dance. Again, with that "frozen" element. Why not meet the real Elsa instead of a robot? Let's face it. It would be more interesting that way.

The Snowflake Quest

I agree with Mario Rk's point, that the Snowflake Quest was quite slack in difficulty and interest: "The Snowflake Quest, in my opinion wasn't really that interesting. All the snowflakes were pretty easy to spot and find. It was also the return of scavenger hunts since... 2012? There are like 3 snowflakes in each decorated room and they are really easy to spot. Once you collect them all you can get ready for a TON of rewards. Overall, this Scavenger Hunt is short and can be completed in less than 5 minutes." While it's nice that getting the snowflakes is quick to do, it isn't very appealing. No characters involved, no effect to the plot, no importance of you as a character.

Conclusion

I've only commented on the crux of what made this party downfall to my rating of a 4.7 out of 10. The party did seem to redeem itself closer to a 5 out of 10 by the, for the most part, generously designed non-member and member clothing and furniture items and some of the room decorations. However, the essential aspects of what this party needed to get an acceptable grade, was lacking. ORIGINALITY. The lack of originality, is what made this party quite 'FROZEN' and static to an audience.

Why? By Dalmation564

Okay. First off, why is this a Frozen Party? Doesn't Disney know how much people hate Frozen? Second, like evry party where somebody performs, they look like they were doing tai chi. So freezing rooms is your idea of fun? Think about it, Club Penguin.
