Welcome to Club Penguin Wiki, Wwe Vs Wwf!

Hi there! Welcome to the Club Penguin Wiki, the free online encyclopedia all about Club Penguin! We hope you enjoy your stay here.

To get you started on the wiki, here are some basic things we'd thought you'd like to know:

  • Edit - To edit an article, simply click the 'edit' button at the top of the page. Editing is the act of changing a page. Your knowledge is the main reason why we are a large website. Articles are our most important pages that are informative and have information on different things on Club Penguin.
  • User page - All users have their very own user page, or "profile". Your user page is your very own page, where you can describe yourself. Feel free to fill out your user page with information about yourself, and anything else you would like to say.
  • User talk - Every user in this wiki has a talk page, which enables you to communicate with other users, even if they're not online. They can send messages to you, while you can too through the talk page. You can add your signature by typing 4 tildes (~~~~). You can also click the button on the edit bar to do the same thing.
  • IRC (Chat) - The wiki has an IRC Channel, which can used to chat with other users in the wiki. You can meet your friends there, make new friends and ask for help if needed. The admins are usually active in IRC, it can be an easy way to get help from them. Click here to join our IRC chat.
  • The Berg - The Berg is the Club Penguin Wiki's official newspaper. Check it monthly for as there may be an event you might want to take part in or the site admins may have important information for you.
  • Others - There is much more to the wiki than just editing articles! You can write a party review, host your own party or even upload a funny picture! See the full list of things you can do here!

You can also modify some of your account settings such as your signature in your preferences. If you want to learn how to make a cool signature, click here!

Please, do take the time to read the wiki's policies and manual of style to avoid any future problems and blocks.

If you have any questions, an administrator will always be glad to help you. Thanks, and have a great time! -- Club Penguin Wiki Administration

Hi

On one of your edits, while expanding the history section, you forgot to add |- and |}. Please note that those are necessary, or else the page will not look right. If you have questions regarding some of this wikicode stuff, just ask me or another experienced user. ;) --LordMaster96 02:03, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Oh I had trouble at that so I left It open so you can do it. Also I edit the Crab Costume page :)

Userinfobox

I see you've created your userpage! I thought I'd let you know we have our own version of the characterinfobox for userpages, called the userinfobox. You can see it here. I thought I'd let you know since I see quite a bit of users using the CharacterInfobox instead of the Userinfobox. --LordMaster96 04:44, 19 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Oh thanks lord! :)

Userpage

In a template, even if a parameter (the things that look like |example = ) looks like it has spelling or capitalization errors, don't change it. Otherwise it won't work. All infoboxes on this wiki already has the square brackets for the files, so just insert the filename in the infobox. Here's the changes I made to your userpage (look at it and see what the mistakes are): http://www.clubpenguinwiki.info/w/index.php?title=User%3AWwe_Vs_Wwf&action=historysubmit&diff=290447&oldid=290446

It'll take a while to get used to the basic editing, but once you get it, it'll be easy to edit articles ;) --LordMaster96 06:17, 19 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Twitter

As a staff member I've verified I'm allowed to create widgets for users upon request, but since you added a Twitter script onto your userpage I made a widget for you.

Widgets only exist because normal wikicode doesn't support all of Javascript/HTML. Only staff are able to create/edit Widgets. If you need anything changed, let me know and I'll be more than happy to do it for you. --LordMaster96 06:30, 19 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Some editing tips

You don't know what the wiki is like just yet, so here's some tips on editing.

  • Don't add biased opinions to articles - only facts. This means don't add any "feelings" to it. It's biased.

One example of an edit you made that could be made better: Its an popular item and it got gone at October 4 2011 making penguins mad.

Several things:

  • Add a history section (==History==)
  • Underneath it, add It was no longer available on October 4, 2011 when the old Treasure Books were removed. It is a popular item among many penguins.
  • There is no need for "making penguins mad", since it is mainly an opinion.

Try it an give it a go. I'll leave the article unedited so you could try and fix it. :) --LordMaster96 [CPW Admin • Staff] 04:48, 25 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Fixed one article for you. The Blue Skater Hat article. This is what I changed from your edit, and it's also how it should look like. When referring to a date, use "on" and not "at", since "at" refers to a location.

Gallery

When you want to display a collection of images, use <gallery> and </gallery>.

Here's how it works.

<gallery>
File:EXAMPLEFILE.PNG|SHORT DESCRIPTION
File:Wiki.png|The wiki's current logo
File:Touchdown2.png|Hooray!
</gallery>

Except for the example line, it will show up as:

The Gallery is pretty simple to use. --LordMaster96 [CPW Admin • Staff] 05:35, 25 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi

Hi, I am Seahorse, a Bureaucrat and Administrator. I just wanted to say hello since I saw you editing on the recent changes :)

Have a great day, and thanks for helping out!

When putting things like The Green Cape looks very similar to the Lime Green Cape but its darker., don't put it in the history section because it's not history. Put it in the opening text where it talks about cost, catalogs, etc. And put it as "A similar item is _____". -- LordMaster96 [CPW Admin • CPAW Admin • CPWN Staff] 03:34, 2 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Also, just to let you know sometimes another admin may undo your edits if they deem it's not as good. The best way to know what you did wrong (if they edit the text but not undo it), is by checking the revision history. To do this, just check "View history" and then select your own edit on the left column of circles, and then the edit after, in the right circles. If you don't get it just let me know so I can clarify. -- LordMaster96 [CPW Admin • CPAW Admin • CPWN Staff] 03:40, 2 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Reviews

Hi. I've seen your reviews for Rockhopper's Quest and the Puffle Party. Please put your review at the BOTTOM, instead of putting it over all the other reviews at the top. Thanks. --Chill57181 Talk to me Master of the pencil Come to my party! 14:11, 17 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
