The Ho Ho Holiday Countdown is in full swing! It is the wiki's first on-site official event and so far it looks like it is going pretty well. Until Christmas Day, you can complete daily tasks to earn 'chocolate pieces' for a chance to win the grand prize (it's a secret)! The day 1 drawing contest also provides a bonus opportunity to win a one month Club Penguin membership, so get your drawing in by Christmas! A huge thank you to Sharkbate and Brookelas for making this event possible!
On December 21st, the activity will be CPW: On Ice, which is a video. It is a competition in which two teams play a game of ice hockey, and the winning team will work in different holiday-themed challenges to win points. The winner will get a bonus chocolate. It will be a huge event, and it will definitely be super exciting. Sign ups for this show will be up within the next few days, so make sure to check it out!
Don't forget to join us on December 22nd (right after the Club Penguin Wiki Awards) for the Merry Merry Christmas Meetup! It's a short Club Penguin meetup and it will be our final major Official Event of 2013. More details will be posted on the Official Events page soon.
Happy Holidays!
The Club Penguin Wiki would like to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Below is a Christmas Card that is part of the Ho Ho Holiday Countdown. Thank you to everybody that signed this card!
The 1st Official Club Penguin Wiki Games was an intense tournament that was well played on both sides. It was a tournament that went down to the wire - a tiebreaker. However, it could have had an entirely different outcome and a tiebreaker could have been avoided. It could easily have been a Team Blue victory without having to go through a tiebreaker. How? Team strategy comes into play here. In the first and only all Blue final (Sled Racing), a sweep occurred and Team Blue took home two points. However, it was possible for a third point to have been awarded had the Sled Racing final lasted through game 3. Had this occurred instead, Team Blue would have had a one point victory.
We look forward to running another Club Penguin Wiki Games in the future. Currently there is no timeline on that although it is likely that the next event will be held in June or July.
Don't be afraid to edit whenever Club Penguin updates! We need all the help there is. We recently have fallen behind in the creation of new articles and that shouldn't have happened. Many of you think that when creating new articles you have to include the Infobox, an image, Names in Other Languages, SWF links, history and all the little bits of information. It is perfectly acceptable to start the article with two sentences of text and nothing more. Then someone else can add on to it - that's what editing is all about. (LordMaster96)
To all admins: if you have an announcement you would like to place here you can simply memo me or private message me on IRC, or drop me a message on my talk page. (LordMaster96)
CP seems to be making old rumours a reality now. What's the next thing they will do?
Shadow Ninjas... they should REMAIN IN THE SHADOWS :\
The iceberg will probably tip next year.
They will probably make penguins be able to fly KD
What would be the most intense Operation for EPF agents?
Operation: SAVE CP FROM CLOSING! :O
Protobot comes back and mind controls everyone on the island except a few EPF Agents. The Director takes Gary and Dot to a secret base on another island and they must rescue everyone.
The most intense operation would be Operation: Diamond Puffle, if you ask me. It would be about finding a diamond puffle...
What is your favourite puffle color of 2013? Rainbow or Gold?
They have dumb quests so neither
Probably Gold, because it can do a lot more than the Rainbow Puffle can.
My favorite would be rainbow.
The Last Word
As the final days of 2013 tick down, we reflect on the ups and downs of 2013 and how far we have progressed in the last year.
Hat Pop
Things have been rough this year- we have been having some difficulties with low user count. But despite all of that, we're still here, alive and running. And it's all thanks to the users here now. Thank you guys so much!
Seahorseruler In 2013, the Club Penguin Wiki has grown larger than it has ever been before. Five years ago when I joined, we had about 300 articles. Today, we have nearly 7000 articles and counting. 2013 was also a year of improved performance. In January 2013, we moved to a VPS, providing lightning fast speeds. We still have work to do in 2014, but 2013 was not bad at all.
LordMaster96 Users came, users left. 2013 for sure was a big year in the history of this site. We've changed... we've made ourselves more open to one another. We're partying and blogging again just like we used to before the move. This wouldn't have happened without your dedication and participation. Thank you all and I look forward to an exciting 2014 with everyone!
Nando144 Zzz... hibernating for a while (no entry received).
