This council meeting was scheduled for users to bring up any issues they would like to discuss about. Generally, it is on maintenance of articles. Several controversial decisions will be presented to the administration for final decision.

If not all admins input their votes on the two topics by June 16, or if the result is a deadlock, the decision at the council will be upheld.

SWF sections

In most room and party articles, there is a SWF section at the end of the article. Most of these are ridiculously long, and with articles on the Archive wiki, we can simply place an interwiki link to the appropriate article on the archive wiki, such as a "See main article on Archive Wiki, <link>". Though this will require a lot of work to be done, it will make the SWF section, which is not at all important, smaller.

Out of Date pages

There are several articles that have been outdated for a long time, and nobody has been committed to updating them. After a discussion, we have decided to add a notice on the sitenotice and add it as a task to the to-do list.

Wanted Categories/Pages

They are a bunch of redlinks throughout the category. After a discussion, we have decided to simply remove the redlinks that result in them appearing here and here.

Welcome committee

Taken from the other wikis, a welcome committee would welcome new users and show them around until they get the hang of it. For an idea, see the Homestar Runner Wiki. Through a vote, we determined that anyone can welcome anyone, and such a committee is not needed for the Club Penguin Wiki.

Names in other languages

Is this really needed? This is an English Club Penguin Wiki and the project was created before the creation of the first non-English CPW. English readers also do not need to know what the name of this item is in another language.

Update June 6, 2012: After 2/3 remaining admins have voted, we have determined that it will be removed but the idea of this will stick for a discussion at the next council meeting. According to Seahorse, it should stay only if the same article exists on another language wiki. However, the interwikilinks on the sidebars may be ignored often. The idea of having a "Read this article in another language" somewhere in every article will be brought up at the next meeting.

Out of date category

There are some pages in this category that are not needed to be here. Should we remove those?

Relocate the Spanish CPW

The Spanish CPW has been dead for a while. Should we move it off of the Club Penguin Wiki Network and onto TropicalWikis, like the French CPW?

CPW Awards

Cp kid brought up the idea of a CPW Awards last year but has been forgotten. It would actually be a cool idea to give users awards for taking the time to contribute to the wiki. After a vote and discussion, further discussion on awards categories will be decided in the near future.

CPW Twitter

With over 300 followers, the wiki can benefit from an active use of Twitter, but nobody has been updating it. Should we revive it? Admins would do the Tweeting.

Underdeveloped categories

There are some underdeveloped categories as well as some unneeded ones, such as Earth Day Catalogs and Music Jam. The wiki doesn't really need such categories, so should we remove them?

Regular scheduled council meetings

With users not being able to come and such, it would be a wise idea to have the next meetings scheduled ahead of time. With this idea, all users would know when the next meeting is before it is scheduled, and with a time rotation, it would give some users a chance to make the meeting. Possibly, we could use the 1st Saturday of each month for a meeting.

Update June 6, 2012: Tigernose and Seahorse have decided to change the format of the Council meetings where every user has the ability to express their opinion on when the next meeting will be.

Official events

Seahorse introduced this idea a while ago but has only been used once. With official events held once every season, new users can meet the community as a group. The only official event hosted so far was not successful, but since then, the community size has grown.

Badges

If you've seen Error504's signature lately, you would have noticed two badges. Badges can be an achievement that a user can display on their userpage or signature. Should we create a project page for badges?
