As you may have noticed, we only have one bureaucrat at the moment, and this is Hat Pop. The problem is, such a large wiki like us needs more than one bureaucrat for many reasons.

  1. Hat Pop is the only bureaucrat for over 100 active users. That's 1:100.
  2. Hat Pop is in the -5 time zone, and that does not cover the whole Earth. Sometimes, if a vote passes through, we have to wait in excess of a day for our one bureaucrat to go online.
  3. Hat Pop can sometimes be inactive, and that is a problem. Everybody is inactive at points obviously, but when we're relying on one user for our whole wiki, it can be a problem.
  4. I'm not being rude, but Hat Pop, in terms of bureaucrat, hasn't made any decisions of her own yet regarding promotions. It's often the other admins finding power abusers and etc, and it's a chore for us to message her and wait for a reply just to give rights to someone. One problem was with Sharkbate, we couldn't get to message Hat Pop to repromote Sharkbate, and he had to wait for days to get the rights.

Now these are the problems, and here is the solution. We fetch an active admin from GMT and an active admin from GMT -5. Me, Tigernose and Seahorseruler. I can assure you that we will provide on-time promotions and support. We're very experienced with wiki-ing, and have both experienced people getting promoted. Both of us have been bureaucrats on other wikis, and I will assure you we won't misuse our rights.

On the topic of Seahorseruler's recent argument with Ratonbat: it was nobody's fault. Ratonbat was unaware that it is a guideline to archive large talk pages and Seahorseruler was unaware that Ratonbat didn't know this and therefore Seahorseruler resulted in giving insufficient information. It's NOBODY'S FAULT.

So please, don't vote against because of these recent petty issues - especially when they mean nothing to you, or to anyone for the matter.

So it's simple. Yes or no.

  • Yes = Tigernose and Seahorseruler become bureaucrats. Hat Pop stays as bureaucrat, obviously.
  • No = Tigernose and Seahorseruler do not become bureaucrats.
