Igloo

From the Club Penguin Wiki, the free, editable encyclopedia about Club Penguin
Revision as of 22:00, 4 July 2014 by imported>CK (It used to be a complete list of igloos. I personally think that the short section of "common" or "popular" igloos is a nice touch.)

The Basic Igloo, which is also the default igloo.

Igloos are the homes that penguins can live in on Club Penguin. Members can customize this igloo and buy other igloos from the Furniture & Igloo Catalog, but non-members can only have the Basic Igloo and a few basic items. The default flooring of most igloos is ice.

List of Igloos

There are many igloos available for members in Club Penguin. Some igloos are common, and can all the time, while others are only released for a special party or event. Here are some popular igloos from one time or another.

Basic Igloo

The Basic Igloo is the default igloo you get when an account is created. Non-Members are not allowed to have any other Igloo style, which is why there are so many of this igloo.

Split Level Igloo

The Split Level Igloo is an igloo with a bottom floor and top floor. A short stack of steps separates the levels. It has much more space than the Basic Igloo, but lacks windows. It is by far one of the more popular igloos on Club Penguin due to the large amount of space it provides.

Candy Split Level Igloo

The Candy Split Level Igloo is the same as the basic split-level, however, the snow used to make it is an aforementioned pink color. It and the other "candy" colored igloos are quite popular among female penguins.

Backyard Igloo

The Backyard Igloo is close in popularity to the Split Level Igloo, and has about the same amount of space. There are two levels, but the bottom level is supposed to represent a grassy backyard. It is most often used during the Summer/Fall months.

Snowy Backyard Igloo

The Snowy Backyard Igloo is similar to the Backyard Igloo, except for the fact that (as its name implies) the "backyard" is snow rather than grass. It is used the most during the winter months.

Ice Castle

Originally intended for the Festival of Snow, the Ice Castle igloo returned in 2008 for the medieval party, and has grown famous ever since. It is used year-round, but is still the most popular during Medieval Parties. Many igloos based on the Ice Palace were released due to its popularity, including the Pink and Grey Ice Palaces/Castles, and the Shadowy Keep.

Other Popular Igloos

Throughout history other igloos have been popular during a certain period of time. Some of those include:

  • Jack-O-Lantern- It was very popular every October from 2008-2011, and still remains somewhat of a "tradition" for Halloween.
  • Fish Bowl- This igloo has been very popular at random times since it was released.
  • Snow Globe- This igloo is very popular during the month of December, however it was one of the most popular igloos during the winter months of 2008 & 2009.
