Buddy

Players can ask to be someone's Buddy by clicking on the other penguin's player card, then clicking on the smiley face on the bottom left of their player card. Say "yes" if you wish to be their buddy, say "no" if you have made a mistake or have decided not to be their buddy. An envelope appears when they have answered your request.

The penguin you asked can say "yes" or "no" to you asking to be their friend.

On Rockhopper's player card, there is no "Add Buddy Icon", instead there is a button to get a free Rockhopper background. A while ago, If you clicked on that, you'd get a free Eyepatch. But that stopped shortly before Rockhopper's free item was an Eyepatch. Rockhopper once stated that if you have received his background, you're on his buddy list.
