Gray is a bait item and therefore not obtainable. If it is permed, the cheater gets an instant 72 hour ban.

Gray is only available to perm when Sensei is roaming the island.
Sensei wears this color.
In the Club Penguin Times Issue #231, Way to Grey asked about why Sensei was the only penguin that's gray.
