The AC 1000 is the earlier version of the AC 3000. The AC 1000 Is A Prototype. One of these will keep things nice and cool. It is found in the Gadget Room. It is simply a fan, however slightly enhanced. You can see it during various missions. It is used during some PSA missions, often to move flying things.
