Hi there! Welcome to the Club Penguin Wiki, the free online encyclopedia all about Club Penguin! We hope you enjoy your stay here. To get you started on the wiki, here are some basic things we'd thought you'd like to know: Edit - To edit an article, simply click the 'edit' button at the top of the page. Editing is the act of changing a page. Your knowledge is the main reason why we are a large website. Articles are our most important pages that are informative and have information on different things on Club Penguin. User page - All users have their very own user page, or "profile". Your user page is your very own page, where you can describe yourself. Feel free to fill out your user page with information about yourself, and anything else you would like to say. User talk - Every user in this wiki has a talk page, which enables you to communicate with other users, even if they're not online. They can send messages to you, while you can too through the talk page. You can add your signature by typing 4 tildes (~~~~). You can also click the button on the edit bar to do the same thing. IRC (Chat) - The wiki has an IRC Channel, which can used to chat with other users in the wiki. You can meet your friends there, make new friends and ask for help if needed. The admins are usually active in IRC, it can be an easy way to get help from them. Click here to join our IRC chat. The Berg - The Berg is the Club Penguin Wiki's official newspaper. Check it monthly for as there may be an event you might want to take part in or the site admins may have important information for you. Others - There is much more to the wiki than just editing articles! You can write a party review, host your own party or even upload a funny picture! See the full list of things you can do here! You can also modify some of your account settings such as your signature in your preferences. If you want to learn how to make a cool signature, click here!

Hi Screenhog! I really appreciate the help you have given us so far, and can't thank you enough for it. The edits you have made are excellent. I serve as a staff member for the wiki, so please don't hesitate to ask me for help.

P.S. - I just wanted to clarify the situation regarding the difference between clubpenguinwiki.info and clubpenguin.wikia. I am not sure if you got the correct information via Twitter. Basically, the wiki was first created on Wikia in 2006, and was being edited there until 2010 when the community opposed a major change Wikia (the company that hosts wikia.com wikis) made to the wiki. We also didn't like the excessive advertisements that we had no control of, especially considering it is a children's site. We decided to host the site independently from Wikia at this domain.

Unfortunately, Wikia refused to close their copy of the site once we moved. They make money from the ads there and wouldn't want to give that up, even if the authors of the information wanted it taken down. Eventually new people joined the ghost version on Wikia, not knowing the new wiki existed since Wikia had removed the links from the home page. We are now attempting to "merge", but the problem is Wikia Inc. would never allow us to actually merge because they would lose the ads, even if users from both sites completely supported it. The 2 sides are not feuding in any way, we want to work peacefully side by side. I apologize for any misunderstandings you may have had. Thank you for reading all of this, I just didn't want you to get confused since it's a long story.

Welcome to the wiki. It's great to see such a respected member of the CP community(albeit retired from CP), has joined the wiki. I'm HF, a network staffer, and a bureaucrat of the Fanon wiki, the sister wiki of the this wiki. I'm also one of the managers of the Fanon wiki's twitter. To be honest, I probably wouldn't be a part of this if I was still an employee at Club Penguin. But, now that I've left, I feel that I can help contribute more to the community without feeling like I'm acting on behalf of Club Penguin or Disney officially. Answer

That's a long time to wonder! That is the Penguin Band as they appeared at the Winter Luau of January 2006. I'm pretty sure this was the first time that they appeared as different colors (before that, the band was all blue). No one was controlling them at that time, they were just animated penguins (like the clapping penguins at the end of Sled Racing). Screenhog at Rocketsnail (talk) 18:19, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
