There were quiet days on Club Penguin long ago, penguins did their usual activities. However, 2 penguins will have their lives changed forever, as they embark on astonishing adventures documented in this EPIC tale known as THE ADVENTURES OF BATESHARK AND POPHAT.

Chapter 1: School

It was a beautiful January in Club Penguin, and the school on the island was nearing the middle of the day. Now, all the penguins got along, nothing could possibly ruin anyone's day at school.

On January Fourth, a young and chipper penguin named Snowman 1001 was late for his next class. In an attempt to make it, he dashed down the hallways, lugging his books, with ligtning speed. Another young soul called Hat Pop, waddling the opposite way, was also zipping down that same hallway to get a classroom on the other end of the building. Neither were watching where they were going, of course, and they collided into each other, books and all, with a loud echoing bang. The momentum of the crash sent Hat Pop's Bunny Ears on Snowman's head, and Snowman's Graduation Cap landed on Hat Pop's head. They both got up, confused and slightly embarrassed.

"Hiya! I'm Hat Pop! ... Sorry about that, I'm just a bit of a klutz."

"Hi! I'm Snowman! Nice to meet you! Oh, and it's okay, I'm clumsy myself."

Snowman and Hat Pop gathered and collected all the correct textbooks, and dusted each other off. They looked up and noticed their prized hats had been mysteriously swapped, and exchanged them. They began hysterically laughing.

"Wanna be friends?" Snowman asked.

"Sure! It'll be AWESOME! How about we go to the Dojo after school?" Hat Pop answered.

"Okay! It'll be fun!" Snowman said with excitement.

"Well, I better get to class." Snowman said with a smile.

"Same with me, I don't want to be late." Hat Pop said, with a smile as well.

"I wish I could say the same" Snowman reassured, with a bigger smile.

Hat Pop smiled.

"Well, see you after school, Snowman!"

"Okay! Bye!"

They waddled off to their classes, still laughing about the crash, and dreaming about how many adventures could be ahead of them.

The end of the school day was approaching, the long-awaited time of two-thirty closing in. Hat Pop anxiously sat in her chair, leaning towards the mounted digital clock, waiting for that last bell.

"AW, C'MON! YOU ALWAYS DO THIS TO ME AT NINE THIRTY! WHY NOW?!?"

The other students in the classroom stared peculiarly at HP, thinking she had finally lost her marbles. Even the teacher had a weird look on his face.

"Miss Hat Pop, you scream at the clock every single day. I cannot see why it would be irritating you."

Hat Pop, out of true humiliation, hid herself and slumped back in the seat.

"Sorry... I just got a bit excited, there."

Two minutes left, she thought, and then I'm gonna be livin' the dream at the Dojo!

* * *

Snowman, too, had been visualently watching the clock. He lightly tapped the surface of the desk, creating a catchy beat. He also noticed smudges on his "Designer Glasses" and wiped them off.

BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPP!

He grabbed his books and threw them into his inventory, then raced out the doorway, pushing the other students out of the way.

"OH YEAH! DOJO TIME!"

Hat Pop had done the same, waddling even faster down the corridor. All of a sudden, however, Snowman and HP crashed into each other again (ironically, in that same hallway as earlier on), out of being so excited. This time, the force did not knock their hats, but sent them both flying into opposite ends of the hallway walls.

"Oh gosh, that was a doozy", murmured HP, "Snowman? Is that you?"

"Yup. We meet again, I presume."

"Kinda... awkward, isn't it?"

"Definitely."

"Ooooh, we don't want to be late for the bus! The Dojo is waiting for us!"

"OH YEAH! C'mon, let's hurry, Hat Pop!"

They got up off the floor and, once again, dusted each other off. Snowman and Hat Pop ran for the same door (almost toppling one another in the process) and hopped on the bus, just in time. The whole ride, they giggled, shared stories, and introduced themselves further. A new adventure may have just begun.

Chapter Two: The Adventure Begins

The bus finally arrived at the bottom of the mountain, of which the Dojo was built on top.

"Oh... my... gosh... you know, this may take a while." Snowman said.

Hat Pop chuckled a soft laugh.

"Yep, but as long as we're in this together, nothing can stop us!"

They both started to climb the long narrow stairs. The higher they got, the colder it got.

"Hat, I don't think I can make it!" Snowman exclaimed, worryfully.

"No! Don't give up! We can do this! Trust me!" Hat Pop screamed, encouraging Snowman to keep going.

"You're right, Hat Pop! We can't give up!"

"That's the spirit!" Hat Pop said with a big smile.

At last, Snowman and Hat Pop grabbed the last step, and pulled themselves up onto the Dojo Courtyard's main platform.

"This is it! We're here, Snowman!!"

"What are waiting for!? Let's have some FUN!"

Snowman pulled out his inventory, shoveling through it, when he took out a shiny, brand-new trumpet. He'd purchased it from Penguin Style the week before, and figured now would be an excellent time to use it. After giving it a quick polish, he played a loud, yet catchy, tune. Hat Pop, aware that she wasn't very "musically inclined", simply decided to dance alongside. Penguins whom were passing by congregated around them. "Ooohs" and "Aaaahs" rose amongst the crowd.

"Okay, Hat, what will we do next? Perhaps play a few rounds of Card Jitsu?"

"Hmm, sounds great! I'd better warn ya though, I'm pretty good."

Snowman put up a "Wink" Emote, and ceased playing his trumpet. He hastily threw it in his inventory and gestured to the secret entrance to the Ninja Hideout. Hat Pop flicked her ninja mask, smiling, and followed him inside. Surprisingly enough, Master Sensei greeted them upon entry.

"MASTER SENSEI?!" The two penguins simultaneously yelled.

"Yes, my fellow friends;

I see you have come to play;

Come, I insist so."

"Wha?"

"I dunno, let's just follow him inside, Snow."

Sensei led them to a mat cordially placed in the middle of the floor. He instructed HP and Snowman to sit down, and they did.

"So, are you ready,

to play a fierce and hard game,

between two masters?"

"Yes, yes we are." Snowman responded.

"Okay, then I wish;

you and your new ninja friend;

good luck in your match."

"C'MON, HAT, WE SHALL PLAY!"

"OH YES, YES WE WILL!"

COMING SOON!
