The Penguin Play Awards is an upcoming Members-only event that will be held March 20 - April 9 at the Stage. During the event penguins will be able vote on their favorite plays in five different categories. The categories consist of Best Overall Play, Best Sound, Best Effects, Best Costume, and Best Set. The Stage Society will narrow down the top plays and announce their nominations soon. The winners will get a penguin shaped golden award, resembling an Oscar.

Trivia

• In the March 2009 Penguin Style, there was a special section about the Penguin Play Awards called "Fashion for the Penguin Play Awards". This section included dresses and tuxedos, all of which were smart in a way. However, some were more casual than others.
• During the preperation for this party, there was a ladder on the outside of the Stage you can climb.
• The Party is the Back Stage. It is the first party room to return. you can vote for all sorts of shows, detective plays, romantic plays and action plays.
