Ideas:Ice Rink Theories

There will be tounaments between the Blue Team and Red Team. Only members with the right gear can play. Each penguin on the winning team will receive a trophy as either an igloo item or in their 'Award' section on their player card.

The ice will break and everyone will recieve a golden puffle[non members] and a rainbow puffle[members].
The sun will shine and the ice rink will melt and you would be able to swim in the water with the sea creatures of Club Penguin.
The Ice Rink used to be called the "Penguin Chat Pond". In October 2005, just as Club Penguin started, a huge ice storm blew through and permanently froze the pond. To the penguins' point of view, the Ice Storm was just an average server crash. In the first edition of the Penguin Times, there was a contest to see which name would best fit the new frozen land. The winner was Ice Rink, and it was officially named Ice Rink in late November 2005.
In January 2006, the Ice Rink received walls and seats so penguins could be comfy while watching a hockey tournament. The walls were added so the puck wouldn't fly out of the rink and hit some penguin at the Snow Forts in the head.
In June 2008, some crazy idiot threw a bomb at the Ice Rink, and the ice blew up and melted. A couple days later, the idiot and a Lanscape Company threw grass seed all over the Ice Rink. This became known as the Soccer Pitch.[this would probably do better at Ideas:Soccer Pitch rather than here, but I have it here anyways.]
