- It was twice a free item in Rockhopper's Rare Items catalog, then returned during Rockhopper's visit to Club Penguin in September 2009, during The Fair, found in the same catalog.
- It was once a hidden item in the Treasure Book.
- Even though this Viking Helmet has "wings", it did not give the penguin the ability to fly, like items such as the Propeller Cap did.
