Revision as of 15:05, 26 May 2011
This is the Club Penguin Wiki's to-do list. As this is a collaborative project, we expect everyone to contribute collectively to make this wiki full of useful information. The tasks below are all listed to improve the wiki in one way or the other, but we need a team effort to achieve it.
Tasks will be put into their corresponding section and you can sign up by listing your name next to it. Each user participating should have a status, if they are regularly working on the task, if they have put it on hold temporarily or if they have stopped the task. Complete tasks should be indicated, and will be put in the archive after a week. You can suggest tasks on the talk page or if you have been given approval by an admin, you can add it immediately.
This system was taken from the Ratchet & Clank wiki and Final Fantasy Wiki and was modified. Again, all credit goes to the Ratchet & Clank wiki and Final Fantasy Wiki for this idea. The format and layout was also taken from the Ratchet & Clank wiki.
Color system
The system uses a color system to indicate the status of the user(s) working on the task.
Status | Code | Meaning |
In progress | {{progress}} | Is regularly being worked on. |
On hold | {{hold}} | Has been stopped temporarily however work will resume soon. |
Stopped | {{stopped}} | Stopped due to lack of information, time or will. May still update but is not working on it regularly at all. |
Complete | {{complete}} | Task is completed (remember to strikethrough the task objective). |

Clean up Trivia sections! It is amazing how much stuff gets thrown in the trivia section when it can clearly be put in the first paragraph of the article, or into an existing section. Also, don't put information into Trivia once you find it, there is so many better places than to stuff it in there. The section is often longer than the rest of the article! Remember to tag any pages that have this problem with Template:Trivia. | In progress | LordMaster96 ClubPenguinMaster Hat Pop Bacon777 |
Remove stub from articles that cannot be expanded, even if they are short, as there is no information left to make them bigger. Do not remove stub from any articles that have a potential for a history section. Any insignificant items that have had no real rise or fall in popularity or use have no potential for a history section and therefore cannot be expanded with information. This should make a lot of short articles that are at their maximum non-stubs and should lighten up the stub category. | In progress | LordMaster96 ClubPenguinMaster |
Add a history section to articles, especially item articles. This should describe when the item first appeared, and reappearances; the changes of popularity in the item should also be described along the timeline of the item itself (if it got more popular with a certain release of it); if the item has appeared in anything official, like a secret agent mission - and more.
An example can be found here. This will make item articles a lot better as we need to start improving our articles so they're not all stubs. |

Add an appearances section to articles, especially item articles. This is to list any official appearances an item has had, such as in a secret mission, or appears in the newspaper. An example can be found here and here. | In progress | ClubPenguinMaster |
Stop creating new item articles, and instead start improving the ones we already have. You can do this by adding history sections, which is a separate task above. | In progress | LordMaster96 ClubPenguinMaster |
A lot of item pages say "It is rare", even though the item was released in 2009/2010. Change articles so that only pins and clothing items from March 2008 and back (that have not re-released recently) have "It is rare", and items/pins from the rest of 2008 (that also have not re-released), say "It is uncommon", and anything further, remove the statement. | In progress | ClubPenguinMaster |
When you add a link, you should make sure it doesn't link to a disambiguation page. Unfortunately, there are lots of pages that link to disambigs. Replace them with links to "real" articles. | In progress | ClubPenguinMaster |
Add Images for all the items listed at Treasure Book, possibly just by getting rid of the bullet point system and just make the lists with galleries, each depicting the item then the caption would link to it's article if it has one. The image should also include the unlockable symbol. | Stopped | Seahorseruler ClubPenguinMaster 1998drpepper |
Help create postcard articles! CPMaster has imposed this project that will add some more content to our database. In the pages, be sure to include an image, description, and the all new infobox. See Best Friends! postcard for an example. | In progress | ClubPenguinMaster |
Add the names of certain items, rooms, etc. in Portuguese, Spanish and French into articles! For more info, visit this page: |

Images
Objective | Status | Users |
Upload cleaner and transparent pictures for items, including clothing, furniture, postcards, and stamps. Images larger than 450px do not have to be replaced. Users who do not know how to get larger and transparent images can ask a user listed here how to, or they can help by giving them a list of images that need replacing (don't list them one by one - find at least 10-15 before letting one know). | In progress | ClubPenguinMaster LordMaster96 |
Add images to galleries on clothing and furniture articles. The images should depict what the clothing looks like on a player card (penguin should be black to look real) and what the furniture looks like in an igloo. When adding images to furniture, add the differences when you click the arrow keys (changing it's position is not necessary). The image should be transparent.
A list of items that need to be uploaded can be found here. |

The Image of the Week is not updated at all. It is going to be changed so the featured image is monthly so work is easier, and two users will be chosen to monitor and update the Image of the Month from now on. This means finding a relevant image for each month, such as if a new puffle comes out, there should be an interesting image of the puffle. The first two to sign up below will become the monitors. Please be serious about this. There is no need for a status, just your name. | LordMaster96 ClubPenguinMaster |
