Free Item Stands are places where you can get free items during parties. Normally, they are placed in obvious or remote locations.

Most free item stands are available to Non-Members, except a few that were in Member Parties.
Some Penguins pretend to "jump into" the free item stands.
Free items stands are available in many parties.
Sometimes, free items stands are not always boxes.
Many rare penguins are getting angry because the items are often repeated.
When asked, Screenhog said that the red lei is coming back in August 9th 2009 and it could be either a member or non-member item. This was false.
Some free items will not return after they are released, like party hats.
For the year of 2009, the free item stands for Non-Member's provided hats or caps all year, even for the items that Rockhopper brought were always backgrounds and even the items at the fair for non-memberswere all head items. Also, many free items are back from the past or past parties.
