Over the Holidays amid a large-scale vandalism attack, we promoted two new administrators to fill in the spots vacated by Reeze and ClubPenguinMaster earlier this year. Please welcome your newest administrators to start off the new year, Gatuti789 and Sharkbate!
Gatuti789 joined the Club Penguin Wiki in April 2013 and first became a rollback in November. During the vandal attack, he became the first admin in modern Club Penguin Wiki history to be given temporary adminship. Gatuti789 has one Penguin of the Month title. He has put up some impressive stats. Becoming an admin within the first ten months of joining the wiki, he is the quickest user to receive adminship since Refractor in December 2009. He has also won a Penguin of the Month once already. As an administrator, Gatuti789 will be helping out with article management/editing.
Sharkbate is serving his fourth term as an administrator. He joined the wiki in December 2008 during the Webmaster era. Sharkbate first became an admin in February 2009 and had also served as a bureaucrat from March 2009 until June 2010. In his six years on the Club Penguin Wiki, he has won four Penguin of the Month titles (tied for record along with Hat Pop and Dancing Penguin) and a Wall of Fame honor. Some of his well-known works include his world-famous (unofficial) Club Penguin animated shorts and the former Club Penguin SoundWave project. He will be helping out managing the wiki's social events.
We have also promoted Wonderweez, Penstubal and ClubPenguinMaster (welcome back) to rollback. Congratulations to the three of them!
Club Penguin Wiki Improvement Project
As quoted by Sharkbate, 2014 is the CPW throwback year. Thirteen days into the new year, it is quite evident we are going to look to combine the best of today with the best of 2009/10. As this is the year we are hoping to rebuild our glory, we will need your help in making this place a better place for readers and users. We will begin the CPWIP with visual updates. The main page will be receiving an update (could be anywhere from minor to major) and a new Vector CSS will be developed. Both of these will be rolled out together.
If you are not involved with the visual updates, we do have a lot of articles that need work on. The articles are the key to the wiki's future and it is the responsibility of every one of us to make sure these articles are well maintained. We have over 400 pages that are missing sections, most of them history. A lot of our party articles are also missing lots and lots of good information. As each day passes, it gets harder and harder to recover this information. You will have to dig through blogs, Twitter accounts and perhaps your own memory of the party to recover some of this data. Never think our articles are complete! If you see something is missing, regardless of whether or not you think it belongs, just throw it in there. It is better to have the information present than missing. Besides, a good editor will clean up the page eventually.

The network staff are needing a hand! If you feel that you are capable of being a staff member (that means being able to manage all the wikis on the network), you can apply for staff. There are a set of qualifications users must have as well as recommended skills. For more information on the selection process and requirements, see this page.

If you could host a Throwback Party, which party would it be?
The Music Jam 2011 because the rooms had amazing decorations and it was the first time that Penguin Band appeared with the new design.
I think if I could have a Throwback Party it'd either be Medieval Party 2008 or Music Jam 2008. Those were both pretty fun for me (although if it were medieval I'd probably add the Quests in too :p)
I'd probably throw back to the Water Party 2008, that seemed cool.

Who would you say was your first Club Penguin Wiki friend?
I think it was Nando because we speak the same language and he helped me on the Wiki. But when I became familiar with the CPW, I met new friends, like Cp Kid, LordMaster96, Hat Pop and many others!
And tbh, I don't remember my FIRST friend. It was probably either [LordMaster96] or Hat Pop, because [LordMaster96 was] the guy I always bothered with questions, yet Hat Pop was super nice (so I don't remember :p, sorry)
LM was the first user I regarded as a friend. Brook was the first I regarded as a close friend.
