The T-shirt is given to those who donated 750 virtual coins.

The Lighthouse Donation was a special event that took place in September 2006. During this time, the Lighthouse and the Beach were being constructed/discovered. Penguins could donate up to 750 coins through the newspaper to the construction. In return for their donation, a penguin would receive a Lighthouse Shirt and a revered red-and-white striped shirt. Since the donation happened a long time ago and you had to donate the maximum choice, the item was considered as "rare". This was compared to Coins for Change.

Before this donation, the Lighthouse looked very different. You couldn't go inside, and there was a sign taped on the door which said "Coming Fall 2006".
