Puffle Party 2013

PuffleParty2013Logo.PNG

Hello to all of you puffle fans! If you haven't already checked out the fifth annual Puffle Party, I'd suggest that you get on Club Penguin soon because it ends in a few days! However, I decided to do a re-cap of all the party festivities before it ends!

Quest:
The Rainbow Puffle Quest is a series of tasks that you must complete in the Puffle Hotel to prove that you know how to take care if puffles. If you are a member and complete all four tasks, then you can go to the Cloud Forest and adopt a Rainbow Puffle! Exciting, huh?! If you're a non-member you can still get a free item though; the Gourmet O'Berries! While members complete each task towards adopting a rainbow puffle, they will also earn these free items:

Image Item Location Members only?

PuffleGroomerOutfit.PNG Puffle Groomer Outfit Puffle Task 2 Yes
PuffleHotelCap.PNG Puffle Hotel Cap Puffle Task 3 Yes
SpaTowel.PNG Spa Towel Puffle Task 4 Yes

Even if you don't get the chance to go to the Puffle Hotel before the party ends, don't worry! The Puffle Hotel, Cloud Forest (where you adopt Rainbow Puffles), and Rainbow Puffle Quests are permanent.

Rooms:

Other than the Puffle Hotel, there are many rooms that are temporarily decorated for the party, and a few exclusive party rooms that are only here for the party!

The Night Club Rooftop and the Puffle Show party rooms are not here this year. However, the classic Puffle Feeding Area and the newer Puffle Spa are still big hits at this year's party, and are definitely worth visiting!

In addition to party rooms, a lot of normal rooms around the island are decorated too for the party! Most notable are the 10 rooms around the island decorated as a different color puffle's "domain". The only change in these rooms from the Puffle Party 2012 was moved from the Forest, and is now located at the Dock.

Mascot:
The mascot at this party is the famous Club Penguin Puffle Handler! She can be found waddling almost anywhere on the island that puffles reside at, although her hot-spots in include the Pet Shop and the new Puffle Hotel. If you keep an eye out for her you might meet her and get her new background! You can also obtain it if you already have her on your buddy list from last year!

Image Item Members only?

On a final note, make sure to check out the items in this year's exclusive catalog! It is located in all of the major decorated rooms around the island.

Updates: December 27, 2012

HolidayCookiesPinLocation.PNG

This week, Club Penguin does not have any major updates. The last update of 2012 will only include a new issue of the Club Penguin Times and a new pin. Let's begin with the news.

In issue 375 of the Club Penguin Times, the Club Penguin Team and the mascots would like to wish everybody happy holidays! We also reflect back in the last year with some of the mascots. Rockhopper also tells us what his new year's resolutions are for 2013. He thinks 2012 was awesome, and he wants 2013 to be even better!

In the upcoming events, the Holiday Party lasts for another week, and next week, Gary will also reveal his latest discovery. I wonder what that could be...

This week's new pin, the Holiday Cookies pin, is hidden in the Cave. It's only available for two weeks, so get it before it's gone!

Those are all the updates for now. Until then, have a happy new year!

Holiday Party 2012

The Holiday Party is here!
CoinsforChangeLogo2012.PNG

Seasons greetings everybody! The long-awaited Holiday Party 2012 and Coins for Change is finally here. Let's begin with what everyone's looking forward to: the free stuff!

On the magic sleigh ride, you will receive one of the free light blub costumes after dropping 15 presents into chimneys. To get all three you'll have to play three rounds - a total of 45 presents dropped. To get the Big Cozy Chair BG, click on the camera at the Ski Lodge. For every day until Christmas, there will be new gifts for logging in, so be sure to login to get them!

The new main attraction at the party is the Bakery. Inside, you can buy cookies that will transform you into a toy car, reindeer puffle, or Frost Bite for ten minutes. All coins go towards a cause of your choice in Coins for Change. Donating to Coins for Change also earns you a CFC 2012 Pin. Players can also buy items from catalogs in various rooms across the Island. There are two different catalogs.

The latest edition of the Club Penguin Times contains no new information. However, it does encourage players to bake cookies and donate coins to Coins for Change. Rockhopper himself wants to donate millions himself. In upcoming events, everything is current except that igloo contest winners will be announced January 4.

Until then, enjoy the party, and have a very Merry Christmas!

Updates: November 29, 2012

The First Aid pin's location

Club Penguin recently updated. This week's updates are rather minor: just the usual Club Penguin Herbert Times and a new pin. Judging by the looks of the newspaper, it looks as though penguins have begun to regain control of the island. Not entirely, but a good amount of control that Herbert isn't heard of a lot anymore, especially in the news. For now though, the blackout continues.

In the upcoming events section, there is supposed to be a new Penguin Style and Snow and Sports catalog next week... if Herbert hasn't banned them. Also, there will be a new Furniture Catalog coming on December 13... again, if Herbert hasn't banned it.

The new pin is the First Aid pin, and it can be found inside the Mine by the path leading to the Cave. Collect it now before it's gone!

Operation Blackout - November 24

The last chapter of Operation: Blackout has been released. The Director has also been kidnapped and it's up to us to save the island. Shutting down the solar laser is no different than the security terminals. You will need to equip yourself with the Anti Lava Boots. After that, head to the master room and shut down the laser. Below are some pictures that might help you out.

After you complete security terminal 6, you will be able to see a video. In the video, a surprise awaits you, and after the video, you will be able to obtain a Covert Agent Station.

Thank you for your help. The EPF and Club Penguin Island has very much appreciated it.

Updates: November 22, 2012

The Blackout continues, and it's expected to get colder, and darker. In the latest issue of the Club Penguin Times, Herbert says that temperatures have and will continue to drop, and snowfall has increased by 359%. He also implements more rules for us. Apparently partying and roleplaying is no longer allowed! There is a hidden message, and it's a message from the Director that tells us that we are all part of the EPF resistance. On the back, Herbert releases Jet Pack Guy's identity.

Chapter 5 of the Blackout has also been released, and oh no, Jet Pack Guy has been captured! You will need to equip yourself with the Smoke Goggles, then head to the smoke filled area for the last security terminal. Below is a guide that you may find helpful. Hint, you will have to move the key itself to get started.

Meet Herbert!

Hi everybody! I was recently looking at one of our partnering blogs, Club Penguin Memories, and I compiled a chart of dates and times when you can meet Herbert on Club Penguin! Please note that I only included Central European Time for the German meeting places. Also, the chart below is in chronological order, meaning that the soonest time you can meet him (according to the info I have) is on the top, while the last time you can meet him (according to the info I have) is on the bottom.

Note: The bolded meeting times are the first meeting time for each day.

Operation Blackout - November 20

As the island gets colder, more snow is building up. Herbert has also captured Rookie, according to the director. The latest Operation: Blackout update has been released, and your job is to pick up the Deflection Vest and go into the next room of Herbert's base and shut down the terminal, like all the other ones. The guide below should show you what the blocks should be moved to prior to moving the key, if you require assistance.

Operation Blackout - November 18

The third chapter of Operation: Blackout has come, and it brings the news that Dot, too, has been captured. The island needs your help. Continue with the mission by picking up the Plasma Laser in the EPF Briefing so that you can break the door, then continue through the path until you get to the next Security Terminal. This time, it's a bit more difficult, but it should not be too complex. The pictures below should give you an idea of how to move the blocks.

Check back on November 20 for the next chapter of Operation Blackout!

Operation Blackout - November 16

The 2nd prompt of Operation: Blackout is available for completion. To do this, in the EPF prompt, pick up the Grappling Hook, and then click "Go There". Assuming you have already completed task 1, walk into the next room and access the terminal there.

Remember to check back for updates! Until then, keep defend the island from Herbert!

Updates: November 15, 2012 and Operation Blackout Day 1

Everybody seems to be very excited about Operation: Blackout, and after quite a bit of waiting, it's here! Let's start off with how to start the operation, followed by the rest of today's updates.

When you log in to Club Penguin, you should see a mission briefing for the operation. Go to the 1st briefing and accept either the free Klutzy Disguise (all players) or the Herbert Disguise (members only). Maybe both if you like! After that, click "Go There" to access Herbert's Central Lock System, and then gain access to his hideout. The gallery below outlines the steps needed thus far:

There is a special catalog in which you can find at the Dock and the Lighthouse. Available for purchase are the Capture Equipment (this allows a special move where you can throw nets; the action is available only until the end of Operation: Blackout), Puffle Care Cap, Scrubs, Puffle Care Sash, Snowboard Helmet, Ski Patrol Jacket, and the First Aid Kit. Also, you can meet Herbert in-game throughout this event. You can get Herbert's Giveaway Background for meeting him.

Herbert has also done quite a bit of damage to the island, including some vandalism to the Penguin Style catalog and the Stage, and even major damage to the EPF Headquarters! You may be interested in checking those out after completing your EPF assignments! For the rest of today's updates, click "continue reading...".

Updates: November 7, 2012

Hidden item in the Furniture Catalog

The alarms are going off everywhere. Gary the Gadget Guy has supposedly been kidnapped, and the island is looking for your help to help search for him. His whereabouts are unknown. He was reported missing after failing to show up for a Club Penguin Times interview. This event is likely the trigger event for the upcoming Operation: Blackout, and it is very likely that it is Herbert that kidnapped Gary.

As a result, this week's EPF field-op has also been interrupted. If you haven't noticed, your EPF Spy Phone has also gone missing as well. This is very strange isn't it? How tough do you think Herbert will be this time around? In other news, there really isn't any news. The upcoming events has also been suspended as a result.

Today, the only real update would be the monthly Furniture Catalog. A lot of Operation: Blackout related items have been released, along with some older furniture items. There is only one new hidden secret item, and that is the Funky Bookshelf. It can be obtained by clicking the computer monitor on the Boss Desk (see inset).

Are you anxious or excited about Operation: Blackout? Leave us a comment on what you think the outcome will be!

Updates: October 31, 2012

The Halloween Party has ended. How did you all like it? There have been excellent reviews so far. November has arrived, and this week, there are a lot of updates, including a new Penguin Style and room redesign!

FieldOp106Location.PNG

First off, let's being with the usual pin and field ops. This week's field op can be found in the EPF Command Room, by the computer next to System Defender. Your task is to Bypass the System by pressing the left and right arrow keys to match the little pictures you see. After completion, you will, as usual, get one medal and a message from G:

What's this? According to your scan, someone accessed top secret EPF files during the Halloween Party. It seems they went through blueprints for my inventions... Stay on alert.
GariwaldFamilyCrestLocation.PNG

Interesting... I guess this relates to the highly anticipated Operation: Blackout. Continuing on, this week's pin can be found in the Recycling Plant. It's the Gariwald Family Crest pin. Looks like Halloween's not just over yet!

Updates: October 24, 2012

Ruby and the Ruby is returning!

The 7th Anniversary Party has ended, but the Halloween Party is still going strong! There is one new item you can obtain from the ghost checklist, and that is a Vampire Throne. This week, there are only minor updates: a field-op and the weekly Club Penguin Times. Let's see what's new:

In this week's edition of the Club Penguin Times, the breaking news is the discovery of Gariwald VIII, as a ghost. It was revealed that he has been studying ghosts for decades, as a ghost himself. This week's newspaper also lets us know the purpose of the Ghost Catcher Uniform if you do not already know the purpose. Ghost catchers are around the island capturing... ghosts!

All coming November 1, the Halloween Party ends that date, and a new Penguin Style catalog will also be released. Ruby and the Ruby will make a comeback at the Stage, the winners of the igloo contest from earlier this month will be announced, and last but not least, a new pin will be hidden.

This week's field-op is at the Mansion Attic

This week's Field-Op (#105), is found in the Mansion Attic by the large telescope. To complete this field-op, you will need to "repair the system" by controlling a repair bot and leading it to the corrupt systems. When you finish, you will earn a medal and G will have this message for you:

Well done Agent! It looks like you found some ghosts up to no good in my great uncle's telescope. Hopefully once all of the bad ghosts are contained, things will go back to normal.

Enjoy the rest of the Halloween Party!
